
The Puerto Princesa City Credit Surety Fund Cooperative (PPCCSFC) was honored with the prestigious 2025 Mayor’s Award (Plaque) under the Social Services: Organizations Category, in recognition of its remarkable achievements and impactful contributions to the development and resilience of Puerto Princesa City.
The award was conferred by the Local Government of Puerto Princesa City during the 153rd Founding Anniversary Celebration and Balayong Festival, held on March 3, 2025, at the Edward S. Hagedorn Coliseum in San Pedro, Puerto Princesa City. The Mayor’s Award was presented during a formal program attended by city officials and community leaders. Puerto Princesa City Mayor Lucilo R. Bayron personally led the ceremony, with Vice Mayor Raine M. Bayron and other dignitaries in attendance. Also present was Ms. Teresista C. Austria, Chairperson of the Board of Sabang Sea Ferry Multi-Purpose Cooperative, reflecting the cooperative sector’s role in the celebration. Dr. Oscar G. Nalzaro, Chairperson of the PPCCSFC Board of Directors (and also chair of the Palawan Rural Institute Multi-Purpose Cooperative, PRIMCO), accepted the award plaque on behalf of the cooperative. The assembled officials commended PPCCSFC’s service in supporting local entrepreneurs and uplifting underserved sectors, noting that such cooperative-led efforts exemplify the city’s development goals.

As one of the city’s accredited Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), PPCCSFC continues to play a vital role in empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) through the Credit Surety Fund (CSF) program. Its efforts have not only fostered economic opportunities and job creation but also contributed significantly to inclusive and sustainable economic growth in the city. This recognition serves as a testament to the cooperative’s unwavering commitment to community development and its pivotal role in driving local progress.
