Since day one, from the issuance of the Presidential Proclamation 922 on March 8, 2020, the whole Cooperative Movement in the country with the guidance of the Cooperative Development Authority, left no stone unturned to be in the forefront of our nation’s battle against COVID-19 pandemic.
Since then, the CDA issued timely directives that shepherd all registered cooperatives, whether affiliated with relevant federations/unions or not, notwithstanding their asset-size category: micro, small, medium or large; regardless of their location – in urban areas where the epicenters of COVID-19 are evident or in rural communities where the poor people dwell, just to showcase to the whole country the kind of values that nurtured their institutions: that is the concern for the community and caring for and sharing of what they have with the people.
The Cooperative Development Authority prepared a short video-clip narrating the efforts of everybody from small cooperatives to big federations/unions, cooperative development councils, cooperative promoting institutions and drumbeating our firm and collective action as proactive organizations and not just passive spectators of unfolding events and beneficiaries of development initiatives of the government.
