ICYMI: The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) led the leadership turnover ceremony for the new Project Director of the German Cooperative and Raiffeisen Federation (DGRV) last November 11, 2024, at the CDA Head Office.
The outgoing Project Director, Mr. Marc Andre Zach, attended the ceremony, and his successor, Mr. Ray Reinhold Hoernle. Mr. Zach expressed his deepest gratitude to the Authority, while Mr. Hoernle shared his experience working in the cooperative bank and his work-life journey before joining the DGRV. He also said that he is looking forward to working with the leaders of the Authority.
Present during the event was the CDA Chairman, Usec. Joseph B. Encabo, who shared his message of support to the two leaders from the DGRV. Also in attendance were Asec. Luz H. Yringco, Atty. Elizabeth O. Batonan, Dir. Mildred S. Esguerra, Dir. Joselito O. Hallazgo, Division Chiefs, and other members of the Technical Working Group (TWG) of the Risk-Based Supervision and Examination Manual for Cooperatives Engaged in Lending (RBSEM-CEL).
It can be recalled that the CDA and the DGRV inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) last December 15, 2023, forming a partnership between the two institutions, with the aim to develop and strengthen the Philippine cooperative sector. This includes providing support to the Authority to enhance its regulatory and supervisory capacities and tools for the improvement of the country’s cooperative regulatory framework. The RBSEM-CEL workshops are among the CDA-led activities being funded by DGRV.
