NEWS and ANNOUNCEMENTS
In 2009, the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) started its three (3) year journey in its bid to be granted a certification from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). This was brought about by the call of the government for all its departments, bureaus and other agencies to be ISO certified, with CDA as one of the identified agencies to undergo the rigorous process of audit, document and records control and government quality procedures.
First of all, I would like to say "thank you, Almighty God", for this wonderful blessing. As the year is about to come to an end, this ISO Certification is the most invigorating gift an institution could ever have. A fitting reward for all our "pains" and "hard labors" for this year. Nothing is sweeter than letting all the doubters know that indeed CDA is "doing the right thing" and "doing it the right way". We anticipate the coming year full of hope and energy for more good things to come to CDA.
The CDA Central Office held its annual outreach program on December 19, 2012 this time at the Missionary Brothers of Charity, Inc. in Barangay Sauyo Novaliches, Q.C.
Founded by Mother Teresa of Calcutta in 1963 with a particular mission of "giving service to the poor", the Missionary Brothers of Charity is present in 21 countries which mainly serves the abandoned, rejected and poorest of the poor in the society. Currently, its Philippine generelate in Quezon City houses 44 males with ages ranging from 18 to 80 years old who were abandoned by their respective families.

We are here today to celebrate and at the same time conclude the International Year of Cooperatives after a year of activities, programs and events nationwide. Firstly, the Cooperative Development Authority would like to acknowledge the time and effort of our partners who made this Cooperative Advocacy Run possible -- the CDA Manila Extension Office, in partnership with the Youth of Fatima Organization and sponsors.
