Bagnos MPC Signs Koop Kapatid Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Two (2) Beneficiary Cooperatives in Ilocos Norte

Banna, Ilocos Norte – In an event aimed to foster cooperative synergy, Bagnos Multi Purpose Cooperative had signed a Koop Kapatid Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Zanjera Sto. Niño Agriculture Cooperative and Rayuray Farmers Agriculture Cooperative on February 26, 2025 at the Bagnos MPC Conference Hall. The signing ceremony rooted in the fundamental principle of Cooperation among cooperatives, marked the beginning of partnership designed to strengthen them and benefit their respective communities.

The MOA outlines several areas of collaborations, including: Bookkeeping and Recording, Strategic Planning and SWOT Analysis, Policy Formulation, Market linkaging, Business Plan Preparation, Credit Management, Parliamentary and Audit Procedure. These partnerships signify a shared commitment to strengthen the agricultural and rural communities with the common hope of achieving Food security.

Atty. Frederick Joe N. Robles, in his message emphasized the Commitment and Leadership both cooperatives need to value in order that the agreement be successful and also shared the practice of “Paying it forward” that the agreements are not just limited to them but they can share it with other cooperatives.

Meanwhile, Ms. Annielyn Alibuyog of the Philippine Rice Research Institute – Batac City expressed her gratitude to the Bagnos MPC dedication in helping growing cooperatives and also to the Koop Kapatid Program of the Authority as a vehicle in promoting cooperation among cooperatives and within a backdrop of resounding support and solidarity, representatives from the beneficiary cooperatives expressed their gratitude to Bagnos MPC for the forged agreement.

At present, Bagnos MPC is one of the Big Brother Cooperatives having the most number of Beneficiary Cooperatives extending beyond conventional support to the program of the Authority. The Zanjera Sto. Niño Agriculture Cooperative and Rayuray Farmers Agriculture Cooperative are also both beneficiaries of the Rice Business Innovation System (RiceBIS 2.0) Program of the Philippine Rice Research Insitute – Batac City.

 

The agreement is effective immediately with a duration of Two (2) years and shall be monitored by the Cooperative Development Authority for progress and reviewed periodically to ensure its continued relevance and effectives.
