The Cooperative Development Authority Region I Extension Office (CDA R1 EO) officially sealed the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Regional Conciliation and Mediation Board 1 (RCMB 1) as new partner in the implementation of labor relations and cooperative development programs on June 27, 2024 in the City of San Fernando, La Union.
CDA signatories were Regional Director Atty. Frederick Joe N. Robles, Supervising CDS Edilberto G. Unson and Atty. Katherine F. Ellorin. On the other hand, representatives of RCMB 1 spearheaded by Regional Director Brenda Rose Odsey formally signed the MoA, with Supervising Labor and Employment Officer Lester Panem and Labor and Employment Officer III Vincent Remullar as witnesses. Also present were CDA Sr. CDS Filipina Porio, PCDS-La Union Constancia De Guzman and CDS I Edgar Ibuan.
In the agreement, general stipulations and mutual commitment highlighted relevant initiatives such as providing technical assistance in the presentation and discussion of topics on Alternative Dispute Resolution Mechanisms (ADRMs); undertaking to give mutual cooperation for exchange of information on the aspects of labor relations and cooperative development, among others.
The partnership marks a significant milestone for CDA R1 EO and RCMB as it revitalizes their shared commitment to give quality service to their stakeholders. (Atty. Katherine F. Ellorin)
