The Cooperative Development Authority in partnership with the different Local Government of Ilocos Norte conducted Cooperative Localized Assistance Service Program (CLASP) to help the cooperatives comply with the submission of mandatory reports. During the CLASP, the CDA personnel in collaboration with the Local Government Units of Laoag City, Pagudpud and the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte rendered technical assistance to various cooperatives in the preparation and submission of mandatory reports and provision of mandatory trainings to the officers of micro cooperatives to comply with the training requirement for cooperative officers. Those micro cooperatives whose officers have not completed all the mandatory training, were offered during the CLASP for them to comply as it is also a requirement in the issuance of a Certificate of Compliance.
The CLASP was conducted in Pagudpud Peoples Center, SP Session Hall, Laoag City and INAFEC Bldg., 3rd Floor, Laoag City.
The provision of assistance is indeed significant to the cooperatives and bringing closer and immediate to them the assistance made the cooperatives thankful to the CDA.
The activities conducted benefited various cooperatives. As a result of the activities, compliance reports of the cooperatives who attended the activities were submitted before the deadline of submission. The cooperatives who have attended the activities are satisfied with the services rendered to them. Having a positive result, CDA personnel who conducted said activities in various dates and places are overwhelmed with the result because as a public servant, effective service without any reservations is important.
