In the promotion of ADR as a mode of settling disputes between and among cooperative officers and members, the CDA Region I Extension Office in partnership with National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB) Regional Branch No. 1 and La Union Provincial Cooperative Union conducted a three-day Alternative Dispute Resolution: Mediation-Conciliation Workshop on June 24-26, 2024 at DMMMSU Open University System, Corner Governor Ortega St., Catbangen, City of San Fernando, La Union.

The training program aimed primarily to capacitate the Mediation-Conciliation Committee members and CDA personnel; to provide a foundation of understanding and practice to enhance the participants’ communication and conflict resolution skills; and, to promote and integrate ADR in the cooperative sectors.

The second (2nd) batch of participants consisted of forty (40) cooperative members from various provinces of La Union, Pangasinan and Ilocos Sur and three (3) CDA personnel.
