The Pangasinan Credit Surety Fund Cooperative (PCSFC) is taking decisive steps towards a sustainable future through a strategic planning workshop. Organized by the Cooperative Development Authority Region 1 Extension Office (CDAR1EO) in collaboration with the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), the workshop aimed to equip PCSFC with the necessary tools and knowledge for charting its course. Held on August 8, 2024, at the Capitol Resort Hotel in Lingayen, Pangasinan, the event marked a significant milestone for the cooperative.

Building on the foundation established during a previous startup course, PCSFC is now focused on developing a clear vision, mission, and goals. Ms. Renee Faye D. Cariño provided essential context by presenting the vision, mission, values, tagline, and the strategic directions outlined in the recently crafted Credit Surety Fund Roadmap 2023-2028.

Workshop facilitators Ms. Eleanor D. Ramos and Mr. Homer A. Hipona from BSP guided participants through the strategic planning process. A SWOT analysis exercise was conducted to assess PCSFC’s internal strengths and weaknesses, as well as external opportunities and threats. This comprehensive analysis will inform the development of effective strategies to propel the cooperative forward.

Through this strategic planning initiative, PCSFC demonstrates its commitment to building a robust and thriving cooperative that contributes to Pangasinan’s economic growth. (Renee Faye D. Carino, Sr. CDS)
