The CDA Region 1 Extension Office led by the Cooperative Project Development and Assistance Section (CPDAS) team, Ms. Jacqueline L. De Leon and Ms. Arlenne C. Espinoza facilitated the released of the financial assistance to the six (6) accredited cooperatives in the province of Ilocos Sur and Ilocos Norte. Each province has three (3) cooperative recipients of the financial assistance namely: Barbar ARB’s Multi Purpose Cooperative of San Juan, Ilocos Sur, Macati Rang-ay Farmers Multi Purpose Cooperative located in Sta. Maria, Ilocos Sur, and Candon City Coconut Farmers Agrarian Reform Cooperative at Candon City, Ilocos Sur.

The other three (3) coop beneficiaries were Dampig Small Coconut Farmers Multi Purpose Cooperative and Eastern Coconut and Rice Farmers Multi Purpose Cooperative, both from Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte and Cabayo Survivor Agriculture Cooperative of Vintar, Ilocos Norte. Each cooperative received the assistance amounting to Fifty Thousand Pesos (Php50,000.00) provided by CDA Region 1 Extension Office through the Financial Assistance/Grant to Micro Cooperatives affected by Calamities and Disasters.

The said grant was based on the Memorandum Circular 2022-05 with the subject “Guidelines on the Release of Financial Assistance/Grant to Micro Cooperatives affected by Calamities/Disasters” wherein the said beneficiaries were affected caused by typhoons in 2022.
