Training on BCM for Coconut Farmers Cooperatives

“A man who does not plan long ahead will find trouble at his door.” – Confucius. It is true that planning is very important to be always ready. Pagudpud Ilocos Norte is prone to different kinds of natural disasters and cooperatives in the area is no exemption; thus, the conduct of Business Continuity Management Training is necessary.

The Cooperative Development Authority in collaboration with the Local Government Unit of Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte conducted a Training on Business Continuity Management for the coconut farmers cooperatives in Pagudpud Ilocos Norte on June 10-11, 2024. The 2 days activity was attended by the eight (8) coconut farmers cooperatives with five (5) cooperative officers per cooperative. At the end of the two (2) days activity, the eight (8) cooperatives prepared their Cooperative’s Business Continuity Plan for presentation and approval of their General Assembly.

The purposes of the BCP are to ensure employee and members safety, ensure client confidence and minimize economic losses. (R.R. Medina)
