Education, Training and Information, the fifth cooperative principle is the cause of the CDA to conduct the Webinar on Fundamentals of Cooperatives and Cooperative Governance and Management. This has been the appeal of many cooperatives particularly the micro coops whose assets are below 3million to participate in many trainings. And CDA heard them. Hence, various memorandum circulars were issued for this matter.

          On June 09 and 10, 2021, CDA Davao headed by Director Elma R. Oguis and the Cooperative Research Training and Information Section conducted a webinar on Fundamentals of Cooperatives and Cooperative Management and Governance for micro cooperatives. This activity was attended by three hundred twelve (312) and three hundred ninety five (395) participants respectively from the entire Region XI. The numbers says it all. It is more than the compliance that the cooperative officers, staff and members intently participated in the training. Also in attendance were from small, medium and large coop officers who want to refresh their knowledge on the basic course of cooperatives.

            The activity was indeed a success, and CDA would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the coop officers who shared their time and resources to participate in the training, so they can effectively and efficiently contribute to the development of their respective cooperatives. The CDA is also committed to conduct series of trainings in the future for the continuous education of the coop members. Mabuhay ang Kooperatiba!
