CDA Regional Office 11 joined the Philippine Information Agency XI (PIA XI) as one of the guest speakers during the Kapihan sa PIA XI at NCC Mall, Victoria Plaza, Bajada, Davao City last October 20, 2023. The topics discussed are: Bone and Joint Awareness and Cooperative Month Celebration. Dr. Matthew Rex Madayag, Senior Consultant, Dept. of Rehabilitation Medicine of Southern Philippines Medical Center discussed about bone and joint awareness, the various illnesses, their causes and advices to prevent them.

Ms. Maria Theresa B. Dave Sr. Cooperative Development Specialist and Head of Cooperative Research, Information and Training Section (CRITS) of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) XI, shared updates on the activities for 2023 Cooperative Month celebration in Region XI. This year’s theme is “Cooperatives: Pioneering the Path to Recovery Amidst Modern Challenges of Climate Change and Food Security”. October of every year is declared as the “NATIONAL COOPERATIVE MONTH” pursuant to RA 11502.

Atty Earl D.F. Larroder, Legal Officer of CDA XI, also presented the Revised Rules of Procedure Governing the Conduct of Investigation or Inquiry by the Cooperative Development Authority. The objective of these Rules is to prevent abuses of errant officers or members of cooperative when the officers thereof or the General Assembly is unable or unwilling to implement the provision of its by-laws and internal policies on discipline.

PIA XI personnel hosted and facilitated the event while representatives of media outlets were present to throw some questions and clarifications to the guests.
