DAVAO CITY – On 22 to 24 January 2023, technical and administrative personnel of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Regional Office XI has successfully concluded its Target Setting and Planning Workshop for the calendar year 2024. The three-day event took place at the Acacia Hotel, Lanang, J.P. Laurel Avenue, Davao City.

The workshop covered relevant topics to set the goals and objectives of each section for the year 2024 such as: the 2024 Work and Financial Plan, and discussions on the newly crafted technical operations or services to be undertaken by Cooperatives Development Specialists (CDS) in the whole country.

In a nutshell, the newly introduced technical services scheme has divided its technical personnel in to two specializations namely, the Regulatory and Developmental technical specializations. This revamp in the delivery of services to cooperatives is a response to the needs of the growing cooperative community in the Philippines.

In order to focus and create a closer working relationship with cooperatives, the placement of personnel was carefully thought of in respect to their credentials and strengths when it comes to working with cooperatives.

Having considered all these, CDA XI, led by Regional Director Glenn S. Garcia, is positively anticipating a very fruitful and highly productive year ahead. Thus, leading cooperatives in to the “Bagong Pilipinas”. ###
