DAVAO CITY – On 13 to 15 September 2023, CDA Regional XI employees have undergone a capacity building program, part of trainings were Fire Prevention and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Training sessions. These two sessions were particularly given by invited resource speakers from the Bureau of Fire XI and the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) XI, respectively.

During the Fire Prevention training, the employees were taught on basic fire response for industrial settings, fire evacuation drill, and on the proper use of fire extinguishers.

OCD on the other hand provided the employees of CDA better grasp and understanding of the Incident Command System (ICS) through the ICS Executive Course, pursuant to RA 10121 or the Philippine DRRM Law.

Both trainings gave CDA employees a chance to learn and understand how to manage planned events and major incidents.
