BANAYBANAY, DAVAO ORIENTAL – On March 05, 2024, the Legal Unit of CDA XI, through Atty. Earl D.F. Larroder, Chief of the Legal Unit and Paul Ryan R. Simbajon, Cooperative Development Specialist II, attended the clarificatory conference initiated by the Cooperative Focal Person, Marialyn Gesta, in Banaybanay, Davao Oriental.

The said clarificatory conference was in line with a previous dialogue proceeding before the Authority which yielded a signed settlement agreement from both parties. The dispute stemmed from a long and protracted disagreement regarding the capital share reimbursement of a member of the cooperative.

As of last year, CDA Region 11 Legal Unit holds the esteemed honor and responsibility of having the highest number of successful settlement agreements from the dialogue proceedings of the Authority under Rule III of the CDA Omnibus Rules of Procedures; yielding a total of twenty-eight (28) successful settlement agreements within the Davao Region.

As per the CDA Omnibus Rules of Procedures, the essential role of the Dialogue Facilitator is mainly to facilitate the negotiation of the conflicting parties in order to resolve the dispute or conflict and to come up with an amicable settlement.
