DAVAO CITY – On 28 June 2024, personnel from Cooperative Development Authority
(CDA) Regional Office XI joins the NDRRMC and the Office of Civil Defense during the 2 nd
Quarter 2024 Simultaneous National Earthquake Drill.

After the alarm has signaled the beginning of the drill, personnel and guests of the CDA has
performed “drop, cover, and hold” during the drill and proceeded to the designated safe
zone.

Thereafter, the evacuees performed head-counting to account for all personnel and guests.
The designated safe zone of CDA XI is at the open parking space of the SPMC Fire Station.

The said activity was spearheaded by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and
Management Council (NDRRMC) and the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) to promote disaster
resilience, awareness to various risks, and disaster preparedness of all civil government
employees in the country. ###
