DAVAO CITY- On March 25, 2024, several officers from a cooperative in Davao City submitted their intra-cooperative dispute to the CDA Davao Extension Office Legal Unit for dialogue.

Under Rule III, Article II of the CDA Omnibus Rules of Procedures, once the parties enter into a dialogue, the CDA acquires exclusive jurisdiction over the case to the exclusion of other quasi-judicial entities, government instrumentalities, and local government units, among others.

Through delicate mediation and eventual negotiation between the disputants, a successful settlement agreement was eventually reached on the said date. The dispute revolved around management issues and operational structures, among others.

The dialogue proceeding was held at the CDA Hearing Room, 3rd Floor, CDA Building, Friendship Road, SPMC Compound, Davao City. The designated dialogue facilitator was Atty. Earl Larroder, Chief of the CDA Davao Extension Office Legal Unit.
