DAVAO CITY- Since 2012, a land and building belonging to a cooperative has been the point of dispute between and among its members and officers that lead to at least two prolonged court litigation cases. And despite undergoing several out-of-court negotiations under three different lawyers, the solution seems evasive.

But through the alternative dispute resolution (ADR Act of 2004) under the dialogue proceeding of the CDA Legal Unit through its Legal Officer, Atty. Earl D.F. Larroder as designated dialogue facilitator and CDS II Paul Ryan Simbajon, the said dispute was finally resolved.

The signing of the compromise agreement last December 20, 2024 was witnessed by the Regional Director Glenn S. Garcia, Acting Supervising Cooperative Development Specialist Engineer Rhandy Corro at the CDA Building, Friendship Road, SPMC Compound, Dumanlas, Davao City.

Under Rule III of the CDA Omnibus Rules of Procedures which was made effective last December 17, 202; after issuance of the Certificate of Non-Settlement of the Conciliation-Mediation Committee of the primary cooperative/federation or the submission of the Affidavit of Non-Settlement of the complainant, the intra-cooperative dispute may be submitted for dialogue proceeding before the Cooperative Development Authority before the filing of any case in court.
