The Education, Advocacy and Union Cluster (EAU) of Region XI conducted its first planning workshop on October 25 – 26, 2021 at PCU Davao, Tagum City. It was a blended activity where participants attended in physical form at the venue while others through virtual means. Participants of the said workshop were the officers of the EAU Cluster in Region XI headed by its President, Mr. Ruben Santos of Coop Union of Davao City. Also in attendance were CDA XI Director Ruben L. Cunanan, SCDS Antonio Escobar, representatives of the four accredited training providers in Region XI namely, MCN, City Coop Office of Digos, City Coop Office of Davao City, Davao Oriental State University, also present are the Chairpersons of PCU-Davao, PCU-Davao de Oro and PCU-Digos City, the CDA XI EAU Focal person, Engr. Rhandy B. Corro together with CDS II Maria Theresa B. Dave and CDS I Rickie Villarino. The event was hosted by PCU Davao represented by its Executive Officer, Ms. Juliet Fuentes, who is also the secretary of the EAU Cluster.

Atty. Frederick Robles, Attorney IV of the Legal Division, CDA central office facilitated the 2-day workshop. The first day was the orientation of the activity, the manner it will be conducted in a blended manner and identification of topics through the Google Sheet. Second day was the workshop proper where participants are assigned at different topics and discussions were made respectively. The workshop dwell on the highlights of the discussion and an output was expected through a detailed Action Plan for every topic identified. After the three-session workshops, the participants gathered at the plenary and the top 7 topics were presented by the assigned speaker. Atty. Robles made the summary of the discussions and declared that the 2-day activity was indeed a fruitful one, with very relevant and highly useful directions for the EAU cluster of RXI.
