DAVAO CITY – The Cooperative Development Authority Regional Office XI has participated during the Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas at around 9:00 AM at World Palace, Juna Subdivision, Davao City and shown live via Facebook through the Philippine Information Authority Regional Office XI Facebook page.

Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas is a series of synchronized, region-wide events broadcasted across various multimedia platforms which was launched by the Presidential Communications Office through the Philippine Information Authority (PIA) XI. The Kapihan is aimed at informing the Filipino people on the accomplishments and ongoing programs of each government agency.

During the Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas featuring the CDA XI, Regional Director Glenn S. Garcia and Acting Supervising CDS Engr. Rhandy B. Corro were interviewed by PIA Regional Director Rene V. Carbayas. Our [CDA] resource persons spoke of relevant programs such as the CFIDP Program Implementation, Cooperative Merger and Consolidation, Koop Kapatid, CDA Certification Program for Cooperative Development Officers in LGUs, Credit Surety Fund, and among others.

RD Glenn S. Garcia also answered questions from different local media outlets on various issues and other relevant topics in relation with the programs and accomplishments as mentioned.

At the end of the program, RD Glenn encouraged the public to become members of cooperatives to allow them to save their money properly whilst helping the economy prosper.
