Golden Values Cooperative Revives Operations Through CDA Amnesty Program
The Cooperative Development Authority XI proudly highlights the inspiring move of Golden Values Cooperative as the first cooperative in Region XI to successfully avail of the CDA Amnesty Program. This program provides cooperatives with a fresh start and a chance to return to compliance.
The Amnesty Program is anchored on CDA Memorandum Circular No. 2024-09. This issuance provides the legal basis for the Authority to grant amnesty to cooperatives that have failed to comply with reportorial and other regulatory requirements, allowing them to revive their juridical personality.
Golden Values Cooperative embraced this opportunity by submitting the complete set of required documents, including their Letter of Intent, Board Resolution, and updated mandatory reports. Their commitment and prompt compliance led to the successful revival of their cooperative, marking a new chapter for their organization and its members.
The Amnesty Program is a crucial initiative that demonstrates CDA’s dedication to rehabilitation, inclusion, and sustainability in the cooperative sector. It provides a lifeline to dormant or non-compliant cooperatives, encouraging them to reorganize, fulfill their responsibilities, and once again be agents of socio-economic development in their communities.
CDA XI congratulates the leadership and members of Golden Values Cooperative for taking decisive action toward renewal. Their story is a powerful reminder to other cooperatives that recovery is possible and that support is always available through the programs and services of the Authority.
The Amnesty Program ended on November 30, 2024.
