In order to conform with the standard set by the International Standardization Organization (ISO) 9001:2015, the Cooperative Development Authority-Region XI Extension Office (CDA-RXI EO)’s Internal Quality Audit (IQA) Team, composed of Ms. Zara B. Perez, the IQA Team Leader, and members, Rhandy B. Corro and Carlo Boji M. Nazareno, conducted the IQA follow-up audit on 26 October 2021.
The afore-mentioned event was in line with the initial audit, which was conducted on 12-13 October 2021, and was able to gather 24 Opportunities for Improvement (OFI) and 20 Non-Conformance (NC). As such, the objective of the Follow-up Audit was to check if all of the NC findings were already acted on by the process owners to align it with the ISO standard. Fortunately, the result of the activity was successful, and it seems that the CDA-RXI EO is ready for the External Quality Audit (EQA).
Subsequently, the TUV Rheinland External Audit conducted the same activity on 04 November 2021, and scrutinized the processes of the Management, Registration Unit, Supervision and Examination Section, Cooperative Research Information Technology Section (CRITS), Cooperative Projects Development Assistance Section (CPDAS), Legal, Office’s IQA Team, Human Resource, General Services Section,Procurement and Supplies, Administrative, Management Information Section, and the Citizen’s Charter.
The one-day event was crucial due to the challenge of using the ICT equipment and the demand of the internet connection. However, the External Audit Team, composed of Mr. Rolando Remitar and Ms. Rhene Rose Zara, of TUV Rheinland, Inc. was able to accomplish and meet the objective of the activity which gathered only OFIs and no NC.
Director Ruben L. Cunanan, DDM, MPA, Regional Director of CDA-RXI EO, stated that the concerned staff were anxiously thinking on the identified NCs and also feeling excited to learn more for the benefit of the Authority. In the process, the employees were grateful for the inputs shared by the IQA and EQA Teams, towards continuous improvement of the processes and services of the CDA-RXI EO. It was indeed a great day of relief for everyone involved in the process as they were overjoyed by the resounding result of no NCs, but only OFIs.
