CDA 12 staff headed by Dir. Elma R. Oguis together with Asec. Abdulsalam A. Guinomla and Asec. Virgilio A. Lazaga joins the celebration of “2022-Timpupo Festival Celebration”- Fruits Eat All You can for a cause as one of the highlights of the festival on August 17, 2022 At City Plaza grounds, Kidapawan City.

Dubbed as the City of Fruits and Highlands Springs, Kidapawan City annually celebrates the “Timpupo Festival” in the month of August, which is the fruit harvest season as a way of thanksgiving and showcasing the bountiful harvest of tropical fruits in the City. Among the Visayans and indigenous highland tribes of North Cotabato, “Timpupo” is a generic term for “harvest”. Local fruits displayed along the main streets and city grounds highlights the week-long celebration from August 6-18, 2022 along with other fun activities, cultural presentations, live band performances and trade fairs, among others.

This year, the “Kasadya sa Timpupo 2022” with the Theme: “Nagkakaisa’t Luntiang Kidapawan Tungo sa Makulay na Kinabukasan” was more meaningful as it marks the triumph of the city from the calamities, Earthquake and pandemic which greatly affected the city in the previous years.

The proceeds of the activity for a cause will be used for the Pre-Fabricated Stalls to be distributed by the City LGU to the Fruit Vendors in the city.
