CDA-XII conducts TOT on Basic Cooperative Course for CDOs Certification Program in SK Province

In line with the Cooperative Development Authority’s Memorandum Circular No. 2023-12, the CDA-XII conducted a Training for Trainers on the Basic Cooperative Course in Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat Province on September 12-13, 2024. This initiative aimed to equip potential trainers in their respective Cooperative Development Offices with the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver effective training programs for the Cooperatives registered in the province.

The training is composed of a comprehensive curriculum, which covers essential topics such as cooperative principles, governance, management, financial literacy, and more. Equipped trainers from the CDA Region XII Extension Office under the Developmental Team were the resource persons who shared their insights and experiences relevant to the subject matter. During the training, the participants were engaged in various hands-on activities, including case studies, simulations, and group discussions, to reinforce their learning.

The training has also adopted a learner-centered approach that encourages active participation and critical thinking. Divided into groups, the attendees were able to foster collaboration, teamwork, and knowledge sharing. Furthermore, regular feedback sessions were conducted to assess learning progress and address any challenges.

Expected from the CDOs that after the training, they successfully enhanced their capacities to deliver high-quality training programs on cooperative development. The initiative contributed to the strengthening of the cooperative movement in Sultan Kudarat Province by providing well-trained CDOs.

The Training for Trainers on Basic Cooperative Course for CDO Certification Program in Sultan Kudarat Province was a significant step towards promoting cooperative development in the province. By equipping potential trainers with the necessary skills and knowledge, the initiative has laid a strong foundation for the successful implementation of the CDO Certification Program.
