The 6th Provincial Cooperative Congress kicked off promptly at 9:00 AM with a series of preliminary activities. The program began with a solemn doxology followed by the singing of the National Anthem, San Jose Hymn, Cooperative Pledge, and Cooperative Hymn.

Following the preliminaries, the formal program commenced with an opening address delivered by Rico B. Galinato, MPA, the PCDC Chairperson. A warm welcome message was then extended by Hon. Ali P. Aldlawan, SP Member and Committee Chair on CSOs. The program continued with the acknowledgement of participants by Mr. Loejun Y. Patual, PCDC Secretary, representing MCDO San Jose.

Key messages were delivered by Ms. Anecita O. Unson, Supervising CDS, representing the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), Hon. Benglen B. Ecleo, Vice Governor of PDI, and Hon. Nilo P. Demerey Jy, Governor of PDI.

A short intermission followed from the NEWS MPC. A significant highlight of the morning session was the recognition of Ruben E. Ecelo Sr. and the Bayanihan Cooperative for their outstanding contributions to cooperative development. Mr. Jolito A. Escano, PDO III from the Provincial Cooperative Development Office, presented the special awards for Micro, Small, and Medium Coops.

The morning session concluded with closing remarks by Alvin B. Dela Cruz, Provincial Cooperative Development Officer.

The afternoon session focused on a forum proper, with a cooperative situationer facilitated by Mr. Porferio Q. Portullano, Assistant Provincial Cooperative Development Officer.

The congress was attended by representatives from cooperatives across the seven municipalities of the province, as well as CDS II from Surigao del Norte, Ms. Annabelle E. Madrio, and the assigned CDS II in the province, Mr. Azur D. Atos Jr.
