In observance of National Disaster Resiliency Month, fifty representatives from diverse Butuan City cooperatives participated in a Disaster Risk Reduction Awareness Orientation held on July 28, 2025, at Bood Promontory Eco Park, Pinamanculan, Butuan City. This initiative, coordinated with the City Economic Business and Development Department (CEBDD), featured Engr. Sherwin M. Boholano, Ms. Pearly Queen L. Conales, LPT, and Ms. Gilda A. Dulon of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (CDRRMD) who provided expert insights as resource persons.

Mr. Edgar Palarca, the City Cooperative Development Council Chairperson, welcomed the participants, and Sr. CDS Nino Rosil C. Bantayan gave a message of support in behalf of the Cooperative Development Authority. The orientation was designed to enhance the disaster preparedness and response capabilities of local cooperatives.
