CDA Caraga Joins Tandag City CDC’s 2nd Quarter Meeting, Reinforces Commitment to Cooperative Growth

Tandag City, May 21, 2025 — The Tandag City Cooperative Development Council (CDC) successfully held its 2nd Quarter Meeting at the Tandag City Cooperative Development Center in Barangay Mabua, marked by the special attendance of Regional Director Honeya Alawi of the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA)–Caraga.

RD Alawi honored the invitation extended by Ms. Lorna L. Novo, the City Cooperative Development Officer, bringing with her the full support of the CDA in strengthening grassroots cooperative efforts. In her address, she highlighted the spirit of the Cooperative Pledge, particularly the line: “Cooperative affairs, I will attend.” Her presence served as a strong message of encouragement and a reaffirmation of the agency’s commitment to cooperative empowerment.

The meeting focused on key areas such as addressing local challenges, enhancing cooperative programs, and aligning initiatives with the CDA’s strategic goals. RD Alawi emphasized that genuine growth in the cooperative sector lies in active participation, collaborative leadership, and sustained community engagement.
