On June 21, 2023, the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region XIII Extension Office attended the blessing and turnover ceremony of the Whole Nut Consolidation and Processing Center belonging to the Tagasaka Coconut Farmers Agriculture Cooperative (TACOFACO) in Tagasaka, Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur. Representing CDA Regional Director Monatao Honeya R. Alawi was Ms. Demelyne B. Gabales, the acting head of CPDAS. This event symbolizes the fulfillment of the grant received by TACOFACO from the Coco Levy Fund.

TACOFACO was awarded a grant worth two hundred fifty thousand pesos through the COCOFARMCOOP program of CDA on December 28, 2022, as part of the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP) implementation. The cooperative proposed to utilize this grant for the construction of a coconut consolidation and processing center. Finally, on June 21, 2023, the cooperative proudly inaugurated its new facility, marking a significant milestone in its operations.

The ceremony was attended by various esteemed individuals, including PCA Regional Manager Joel Oclarit, Honorable Shem Garay, the Municipal Mayor of Hinatuan, several members of the Sangguniang Bayan, as well as officers and members of TACOFACO. ********
