On March 10, 2025, the CDA proudly took part in the Caraga Women’s Summit 2025, an inspiring and empowering event with the theme, “Women in Every Sector. The Future Will Rise in the New Philippines.” The summit brought unity.

 The Caraga Women’s Summit 2025 successfully showcased various booths from participating agencies, offering valuable services to attendees. The Philippine Statistics Office (PSA) provided a hassle-free process for acquiring birth certificates and more, while TESDA trainees extended free manicure and pedicure services. Additionally, the Department of Health (DOH) conducted health screenings, including sugar and cholesterol tests, which many participants availed of during the event, and many more.

Highlights of the Summit

Inspiring Keynote Speech: One of the highlights of the summit was the keynote address delivered by Hon. Judy Chin-Amante, City Mayor of Cabadbaran City who inspired all the women in attendance with her powerful message of empowerment and resilience. She emphasized the vital role of women in shaping communities, encouraging them to embrace their strengths, and take on leadership roles with confidence. Her speech served as a reminder that perseverance and unity are key to driving positive change, motivating participants to continue striving for personal and professional growth.

Learning Sessions: Topics discussed during the learning sessions included the Orientation on the Expanded Solo Parents Welfare Act, the PhilHealth Konsulta Benefit Package, the Launch of CHR Contact and MISMO Posters, DOS Graduate Scholarship Programs, and Cybercrime Awareness. These topics were presented by the participating agencies present at the summit.

Interactive Workshop: The summit also featured a hands-on workshop on making Chicken Embotido, conducted by TESDA representative Ms. Dina B. Sibi. This demonstration provided participants with practical skills and insights into starting a small business, empowering women with entrepreneurial knowledge and opportunities for livelihood.

Recognition and Celebration: Also, one of the highlights of the event was the Recognition of Outstanding Women, where exemplary women from Caraga were honored for their contributions to their communities and industries. It was truly inspiring to witness the dedication and passion of women who continue to make a positive impact on society.
