Esperanza Co-ops Eye Consolidation

ESPERANZA, Agusan del Sur – June 13, 2025 – Five prospective cooperatives, namely the NATO Farmers Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Bentahon San Isidro Tag Anahaw Agrarian Reform Cooperative, Palmavera ARB Farmers Cooperative, Hawilian Family Group MPC, and Milagros Farmers Consumer Coop, are exploring a significant consolidation program with guidance from the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) CARAGA.

During a crucial consultative meeting today at the Municipal Cooperative Development Office (MCDO), Ms. Mary Ann A. Lumapas, MCDO Designate/Sr. CDS, gracefully facilitated a quorum, ensuring productive discussions. Mr. Charles M. Palen, Sr. CDS under the CSF Section, represented CDA CARAGA, providing vital technical assistance. He clarified the consolidation program’s mechanics, outlined essential documentary requirements, and brought clarity to the entire process.

A key outcome of the meeting was the cooperatives’ agreement to prioritize a Board of Directors Resolution approving consolidation. This resolution is a crucial first step in their journey towards unification. With the invaluable support of the MCDO, these cooperatives hope to receive further technical assistance this month to navigate the path ahead successfully.
