The Lianga Cooperative Month Celebration, organized by the Local Government Unit of Lianga under the leadership of Mr. Joselito Villarina, MCDO – designate, in collaboration with the Municipal Cooperative Development Council and Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), took place on October 9, 2023. The vibrant event commenced with a brief program that featured encouraging speeches from distinguished guests such as SB member Hon. Hernalyn Layno, the Chairperson of the Committee on Cooperatives, and Mr. Edwin Igsoc, the esteemed Municipal Agriculturist. Additionally, a message of solidarity from Mr. Jeffrey D. Raya, CDS II, on behalf of CDA Regional Director Monatao Honeya R. Alawi, added a significant touch to the ceremony.

The latter part of the celebration involved an engaging motorcade, with enthusiastic participation from various cooperatives in Lianga, each proudly displaying their respective cooperative month banners. 

Overall, the event showcased the community’s strong commitment to cooperative development and highlighted the collaborative efforts of key stakeholders in fostering a thriving cooperative ecosystem in Lianga.
