The City Cooperative Development Council (CCDC) of Tandag through the collaborative efforts of the City Cooperative Development Officer led by Lorna L. Novo, culminated the cooperative month celebration with the City Cooperative Congress on October 20, 2023 at Grand Ballroom, Villa Maria Luisa Hotel, Tandag City.

The event was graced by the presence of CDA Caraga Regional Director Monatao Honeya R. Alawi who gave her keynote message of support and encouragement to the cooperative leaders of Tandag. The Local Government also was represented by Hon. Albert D. Perez, Chairperson of the Committee on Cooperative and Livelihood in the Sangguniang Panglungsod who deliberately express solidarity and support to the cooperative movement.

The activity also served as a learning opportunity for the cooperative. Mr. Niño Rosil C. Bantayan, Acting Sr.CDS-CRITS educated the participants’ preparedness in the formulation of their respective Business Continuity Plans in the coop. The Chairperson of the Caraga Regional Union Cooperative (CARECU) Mr. Jernie A. Cabusog also presented their services and the role of the Union in the cooperative development and the movement as a whole.

The Cooperative Month Celebration of Tandag City started with the Kick-off Motorcade last October 1, 2023 (Sunday), followed by the series of activities that culminated with the Congress. Cooperatives with Outstanding Business Performances and Community Contribution was also awarded during the Congress and participants in attendance were also delighted with various prizes.

Said activities were made successful through the collaborative commitment and efforts of the cooperative stakeholders and the community in advancing cooperativism in Tandag City.
