On September 19, 2024, the CDA Region 2 Extension Office through Atty. Jovilyn M. Gaffud-Marquez, Regional Director signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and awarded Digital 2-In-1 Corn Rice Mill Combined Machineries With 10 Kva Generator Set under the “Capability Enhancement of Micro Agriculture Cooperative through Cooperative Development Projects” to ten (10) selected cooperatives in Region 2.
Among the recipients are United BANGSPAVILCA Farmers Agriculture Cooperative (U-BANGS COOP), Padul Farmers Agriculture Cooperative (PFAC), Mozzbuenas Farmers Agriculture Cooperative, Northeast Luzon Farmers Agriculture Cooperative, Upper Magat Agriculture Cooperative, Mataddi Farmers Agriculture Cooperative, CFC Solana Farmers Agriculture Cooperative, Cambasss Agrarian Reform Cooperative, Villarey Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Cooperative and Sicalao Lasam Agriculture Cooperative.
Also present during the signing and awarding was Mr. Alex Datucan, a representative from the Office of Asec. Pendatun Disimban and Engr. Brian Jay Valdez, a representative from the Department of Agriculture-Regional Office No. 2. The awarding of the machinery aims to empower these cooperatives. These resources will allow them to process their own produce and offer milling services to their members more conveniently at a lower cost.
