(Tuguegarao City, Cagayan)– In this age of the World Wide Web, data is considered one of the most valuable assets. Theft and breaches of data become prevalent in our personal or professional life. Securing one’s data and information is now a much-needed skill to shield ourselves from malicious hackers and cybercriminals.

Through the leadership of Regional Director Attorney Franco G. Bawang, Jr., CDA Region 2 Extension Office  conducted a Seminar on Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Protection for its officers and staff last March 16-17, 2022.

Guest Speakers from the Department of Information and Communication Technology (DICT) discussed the various intricacies of   cyber security while Mr. Ricardo Cabugao, Jr. handled the topic of data privacy.

With this seminar, the personnel of CDA RO2 are now more knowledgeable and better equipped in securing and processing the data of cooperatives and other stakeholders in the region.
