The Cooperative Development Authority-R02 celebrated the Regional Global Money Week (GMW) 2025 on March 21, 2025 with the theme “Think Before You Follow, Wise Money Tomorrow.” The annual event aimed at promoting financial literacy and encouraging young individuals to make informed financial decisions, brought together a diverse group of participants, cooperatives, financial institutions, and government agencies.

The celebration started with the kicked off inspiring message of Atty. Jovilyn M. Gaffud-Marquez, CDA Regional Director emphasizing the importance of financial education and management encouraging participants to practice responsible financial behaviors, especially in our constantly changing economic environment.

The event featured three key speakers who shared valuable insights on financial programs and strategies for growth and development of cooperatives. Ms. Angelika Oliveros from the LBP discussed the AGRISENSO Program, which supports agricultural cooperatives and small enterprises by providing easier access to finance for growth and sustainability of cooperatives. Mr. Ezrael Manzano from the Department of Agriculture highlighted the Agricultural Credit Policy Council (ACPC) program, emphasizing its role in providing credit assistance and capacity-building for agricultural cooperatives. Lastly, Mr. Jeryson T. Manding of CDA R02 focused on Financial Literacy Management, stressing the importance of equipping cooperatives with financial knowledge and tools to ensure their long-term success.
