21 February 2024 || Enhancing Regional Connectivity and Collaboration: Assistant Secretary Yringco visits the CDA Region III Extension Office

The Assistant Secretary, Luz H. Yringco paid a visit to the CDA Region III Extension Office on 21 February 2024. The visit holds significant importance in fostering communication, collaboration, and alignment of goals between the central administration and regional stakeholders. Such visits serve as opportunities to understand the unique challenges and opportunities faced by different regions, facilitate the exchange of ideas, and reinforce organizational objectives. ASEC Yringco was elated as she was warmly welcomed by the CDA Region III Extension Office workforce headed by the Regional Director, Marieta P. Hwang. The gathering was fruitful as significant accomplishments of the Office for fiscal year 2023 were presented as well as the ways forward for the current year.

ASEC Yringco displayed exemplary leadership as she bloomed from the breeding ground of a cooperative – truly in the grassroot with pure humility. As the Head of the Credit and Financial Services, Banking and Insurance and Credit Surety Fund Cluster, ASEC Yringco underscored the importance of financial management among cooperatives. The provision of a Credit Manual for Credit Cooperatives is among the flagship programs in her current leadership.

Embodying the cooperative principle, “Concern for Community”, ASEC Yringco encourages the cooperatives across the nation to document their social services and community-beneficial programs.

“It is important that cooperatives tell kwento na may kwenta. Telling stories is not enough, cooperatives shall do kwenta to quantify their contribution to the community”, ASEC Yringco said.

Truly committed to serving the cooperatives, ASEC Yringco highlighted the significance of the developmental function of the Authority in the development and viability of cooperatives. She mentioned Matthew 25:40, “And the king will say to them in reply, ‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.”

In conclusion, the visit by ASEC Yringco to the CDA Region III represents a valuable opportunity to strengthen connectivity, collaboration, and alignment within an organization. By building relationships, aligning objectives, identifying challenges, promoting innovation, and enhancing accountability, the visit can drive positive change and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
