ASKI Multi-Purpose Cooperative in partnership with Coca-Philippines launched Happy Earth Enterprise
It was an ordinary sunny day Friday morning to some but it is an extraordinary day to members and guests of ASKI Multipurpose Cooperative. Why? This is the day wherein another business venture was born and this is the “Happy Earth Enterprise”. The event was held at Barangay Sampaloc, Talavera, Nueva Ecija last August 18, 2023.
Happy Earth Enterprise is a collection facility of all recyclable waste materials responding to sustainable development goals such as responsible consumption and production which will also provide decent work to our informal waste collectors and waste pickers. It aims to promote the recycling, reuse and reduce waste materials which can cause pollution to our environment as part of their social development program for Environment Conservation and Protection.
During the said event, a thanksgiving mass started the day followed by a motorcade going to Barangay Andal Aliño where the facility is located. Ribbon-cutting ceremony and turn-over of Tribike to lucky associate members as recipients was done together with ASKI Group, Coca-Cola Philippines, ASKI Multipurpose Cooperative, partners and guests.
Program Launching and signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between Coca-Cola Philippines and ASKI Multi-purpose Cooperative followed at ASKI TASEC Barangay Sampaloc, Talavera, Nueva Ecija. Mr. Jasper D. Santos, General Manager of ASKI MPC gave the opening remarks. Mr. Rolando B. Victoria, Founder and President of ASKI Group of Companies gave his inspirational message followed by Mr. Carlito M. Dela Cruz Jr., ASKI MPC Chairperson. Atty. Cashmere G. Dirampaten, Director of Public Affairs, Communication and Sustainability (PACS) of the Coca-Cola Philippines cite that it was a long way before this partnership forged and she was happy that it will not only benefit the members but also reduce waste materials that contribute pollution and hazard to the environment. She emphasizes the 3Rs – reduce, reuse and recycle to help lessen waste.
Ms. Mary Grace Peňa, Managing Director of ASKI Foundation presented the Happy Earth Briefer thru Audio-Video Presentation and recognizes her team for conducting the studies.
CDA Regional Director Marieta P. Hwang graced the event and gave her congratulatory message to the officers and members of the ASKI MPC for their new business and for the love for Mother Nature.
Ms. Divina Gracia C. Santos, Vice, President for Operation, ASKI Group and Board Secretary of ASKI Foundation gave her closing remarks and challenged everybody to be a good caretaker of our environment.
Cooperative Development Authority, Cooperative Development Specialists Ms. Ofelia A. Ciriaco, Ms. Margarita U. Gulapa and Ms. Jasmin P. Barroga were also present during the program.
