May 19, 2025 – As part of its continuing mission to uplift and empower micro, small, and newly categorized medium cooperatives, the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region III Extension Office has released financial assistance to two accredited cooperatives in Central Luzon.

The financial support was granted to Dampe Multipurpose Cooperative of Brgy. Dampe, Floridablanca, Pampanga, and Golden Valley Agriculture Cooperative of Barangay III, Poblacion-Laur, Nueva Ecija. Each cooperative received ₱200,000.00 under the Financial Assistance “Sa Kooperatiba, Imee Solusyon” Program.

The activity was spearheaded by the Cooperative Project Development and Assistance Section (CPDAS), led by Ms. Margarita U. Gulapa, Acting Sr. CDS, with the support of Regional Director Marieta P. Hwang and Regional Accountant Ms. Elena P. Dela Cruz.

The program, in coordination with the Office of Senator Imee Marcos, forms part of the CDA’s broader strategy to alleviate poverty in local communities by providing direct financial support to deserving cooperatives. It prioritizes those with demonstrated needs for additional capital to improve their agricultural and non-agricultural operations, expand enterprise activities, and acquire necessary materials to ensure long-term sustainability.

The two recipient cooperatives were the first among 18 total beneficiaries in Region III to complete the necessary documentary requirements as prescribed under CDA Memorandum Circular 2024-20 titled “General Guidelines for the Release or Grant of Financial Assistance to Cooperatives”.

Through “Sa Kooperatiba, Imee Solusyon,” CDA Region III is not merely disbursing funds—it is planting the seeds of progress, empowering cooperatives to become pillars of inclusive growth and sustainable development in their communities.
