CDA Region III Extension Office Release Financial Assistance to Cooperatives under Sa Kooperatiba, Imee Solusyon

𝑀𝑎𝑦 24, 2025 – Twelve cooperatives across Central Luzon were granted ₱200,000 in financial assistance by the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region III Extension Office, through the “Sa Kooperatiba, Imee Solusyon” program, a joint initiative with the Office of Senator Imee Marcos.
The program is part of the CDA’s broader strategy to alleviate poverty in local communities by providing direct financial support to deserving cooperatives. It prioritizes those with demonstrated needs for additional capital to improve their agricultural and non-agricultural operations, expand enterprise activities, and acquire necessary materials to ensure long-term sustainability.
The awarding ceremony was led by the Cooperative Project Development and Assistance Section (CPDAS), under the supervision of Acting Senior CDS, Ms. Margarita U. Gulapa. She was joined by Assistant Regional Director, Ms. Carolina M. Miguel, who welcomed the attendees, delivered the opening remarks, and extended her congratulations to the recipient cooperatives.
Regional Accountant, Ms. Elena P. Dela Cruz also reminded the cooperative beneficiaries of their responsibilities under the signed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and provided a detailed orientation to guide them on the proper management and utilization of the funds.
Including the twelve (12) newly awarded cooperatives and the two (2) recipients who received funding on May 19, 2024, a total of fourteen (14) cooperatives in Region III have so far been granted assistance under the aforementioned program. These cooperatives are among the eighteen approved beneficiaries who successfully complied with the documentary requirements set forth in CDA Memorandum Circular No. 2024-20, titled “General Guidelines for the Release or Grant of Financial Assistance to Cooperatives.”
Through “Sa Kooperatiba, Imee Solusyon,” CDA Region III is not merely disbursing funds—it is planting the seeds of progress, empowering cooperatives to become pillars of inclusive growth and sustainable development in their communities.
