CDA as the lead government agency in the promotion and development of cooperatives, shall synchronize the efforts of other government institutions towards the common goal of empowering cooperatives to become instruments of equity, social justice and economic development. One of the CDA’s mandate under RA 11364 or the CDA Charter of 2019 is, to administer all grants and donations exclusively intended for cooperatives coursed through the Authority for cooperative development.
The recent convergence effort of the government is the Integrated Sustainable Assistance Recovery and Advancement Program (ISARAP) spearheaded by the CDA which aims to ensure and provide effective, integrated and fiscally responsible aid and humanitarian support to the people in time of emergencies such as the Covid-19 pandemic, current economic crisis and disasters. For this program, there were 12 beneficiary cooperatives selected from the Provinces of Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga and Tarlac awarded with the financial assistance last March 26, 2022 in three different clusters. CDA Board of Directors graced the awarding ceremony with the assistance and support of Region 3 officers and field personnel. The following are the beneficiaries of the said program received the financial assistance:
