The Cooperative Development Authority-Laguna, in coordination with the Laguna Provincial Cooperative Development Council with its Chairperson Ms. Aldea A. Roguel, and Laguna Provincial Cooperative Development Office headed by Mr. Edwin Bautista, joined their forces to conduct the 2023 CDA Annual Compliance Review last March 22, 2023, at the Cultural Center, Capitol Site, Sta. Cruz, Laguna.
The purposes and objectives of the said program were the following;
- To inform cooperatives on the required reports to be submitted to the Authority for issuance of their Certificate of Compliance (COC);
- To orient and update cooperatives in Laguna on the proper filling-out of the CAPR and other attachment forms; and
- To refresh the participants on the computation of Interest on Share Capital and Patronage Refund.
Atty. August Owen P. Magdato, CDA-Legal Officer, in behalf of then Regional Director Giovanni T. Platero, gave a very significant and meaningful message to the group and emphasized the importance of the activity to the cooperative sectors in the province.
Meanwhile, the speaker of the whole-day gathering, Mr. Dexter Perez, CDA Section head of the Supervision and Examination Section (SES) made the training more exciting by giving Pre and Post tests that must be passed in order to get a Certificate of Participation.
Six (6) participating cooperatives from the 1st District of Laguna, Six (6) from the 2nd District, Twenty-one (21) from the 3rd District, and Fifty-five (55) cooperatives from the 4th District of Laguna attended this seminar. A total of one hundred eighty-three (183) participants, with 61 males and 122 females were present during the said event.
Mr. Noli Balboa, the PCDO Supervising CDS acted as the Master of Ceremony and facilitated the entire program.
