With the initiation of the new directive focused on further assisting cooperatives in development, the Cooperative Development Authority Extension Office Region IV-A conducted its Annual Planning and Target Setting Conference from January 30 to February 1, 2024, at the Monte Vista Hot Springs and Conference Resort, Calamba City, Laguna.
The program started with a prayer led by Quezon Provincial CDS Mr. Ranel B. Lingahan, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the CDA Quality Policy. The Regional Director shared his vision for the year and his support to the CDA 4A personnel through his opening remarks. Assistant Regional Director Ms. Bernadette Preciosa G. Hornilla then gave the staff an overview of the program.
The meeting was called to order and began with a review of the minutes from the Year-End Planning and Assessment meeting. Following this, the master of ceremonies promptly requested that the section heads begin discussing the regional targets. The conference’s keynote focused on presenting and committing to target objectives, raising issues and concerns, and planning strategies to achieve them, especially with specialization in effect. In addition, Ms. Celeste M. Castro, a member of the CDA 4A GAD focal point system, presented the Gender and Development (GAD) Plan and Budget of the regional office.
To provide its staff with the knowledge they need to carry out their respective duties more efficiently, ARD Hornilla led a risk management orientation on the final day of the conference. Afterward, Ms. Micky H. Macarandang, an HR staff member, gave an update and instructions on the latest HR forms.
