Success Story of Nexpereon Employees Multipurpose Cooperative

The cooperative was first organized and registered as Philips Components Phils. Inc. – Employees Credit Cooperative on 06 November 1986 under the Office of the Ministry of Agriculture “Bureau of Cooperatives Development” with initial members of forty (40) permanent employees, including the cooperators.

Earlier on their operations, the cooperative was given a seed money in the amount of Php120,000.00 donated by the Company itself where the employees are working at that time.

Due to the rapid growth in the membership, shared capital contribution and loan collections, the cooperators decided to register from Credit to Multi-Purpose Institutional type of cooperative. A new name also was amended from PCPI-ECC to NXP Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative on 22 April 1998 with the authorized share capital of Php10Million, later registered to R.A.9520 of the Cooperative Development Authority on 12 November 2009.

In 2004, the cooperative installed a customizable computerized system for its operations using the DEBS Accounting software application. The system helps the processing and recording of transactions easily.

With the continuous support of company’s management, the cooperative was given a free space for the coop office, small place for commissary store and an area for Franchise Bayad center kiosk inside the company premises. As part of services to the whole membership, the cooperative business opens from Monday to Friday at 7:00am to 4:30pm with an existing 7 personnel working full-time in the office.

In 2018, the charter was amended again to increase the authorized capital from Php250 million to Php300million along with the amended new name of “Nexpereon Employees MULTI-PURPOSE Cooperative” whose members comes from the employees of the newborn two companies namely: Nexperia and Ampleon.

In 2021, again the authorized share capital was amended from Php300 million to Php400million which helps boast the cooperative’s name throughout the City of Cabuyao. It continues to grow and flourish as the members joined and relied on the leadership and management of the Cooperative. To date, members are more than 2,900 and with the asset amounting to Php460million and now considered as large cooperative in the City of Cabuyao.

On a yearly basis, the cooperative never forgets its social responsibility to share goods and services not only in the coop members but in the community as well.
