The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Regional Office 4A, in collaboration with the Antipolo City Cooperative and Livelihood Office (CCLO), successfully hosted a cooperative caravan on October 17, 2024. The event was further strengthened by the support of the Eastern Alliance of Cooperative Federations (EACFED) and Suburban Transport Cooperative, both of whom served as key sponsors.
Held in Antipolo City, the caravan aimed to provide essential services and technical assistance to cooperatives across the Rizal Province. Sixty cooperative members benefited from the caravan, taking the opportunity to address their issues and concerns, process pertinent documents, and complete compliance requirements without having to travel to the CDA Regional Office in Calamba City, which is three to four hours away. Among the highlights of the event was the awarding of 18 Certificates of Compliance (COC), signifying the cooperatives’ adherence to CDA’s regulatory standards and marking their operational legitimacy.
In addition to certificate releasing, the CDA provided technical assistance on registration processes and legal concerns. This direct engagement demonstrates the CDA’s commitment to fostering growth and sustainability within the local cooperative sector, ensuring that cooperatives can operate within the bounds of the law while maximizing their potential to benefit their communities.
The partnership between the Antipolo City Cooperative and Livelihood Office, EACFED, and Suburban Transport Cooperative highlights the increasing unity among cooperatives. This collaborative effort not only ensured the smooth execution of the event but also showcased a shared commitment to developing cooperatives in Rizal Province.
The CDA R4A remains dedicated to empowering local cooperatives through continuous support, outreach, and education. Events like the Antipolo City Caravan play a crucial role in building sustainable, empowered, and compliant cooperatives in the CALABARZON Region.
