The BASIC TRAINING COURSE ON COOPERATIVES, BOOKKEEPING, AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP is one of the most significant events of the CDA and PhilMech collaboration; this fruitful training provided the farmer members / beneficiaries with the opportunity to learn technical capabilities in bookkeeping and empower the culture of proper recording of their business transactions. Furthermore, participants shared their perspectives on cooperativism, which promotes organized associations to adopt cooperative activities.

Chairman Lorencia Osic’s positive feedback and output was heartwarming; accordingly, the module was clearly discussed during the training, wherein they could easily follow the topic, and they have since implemented the teachings on bookkeeping and recording in their current business transaction. As a result, Chair Osic cherishes the lessons learned about how to run a successful cooperative, as well as the necessary skills and values for business management.  Aside from the good talk, she expressed her appreciation for the simple handouts for Farm Machinery Utilization Record Book, which acts as a guidance in reporting their business transactions.

According to her, the majority of the FCA are now putting what they have learned into practice, and as a result, they are now successful in their profession; they can simply comprehend the recording of their income and expenses, which is one of the essential components of the bookkeeping method. “Nowadays, we are well equipped in basic recording of business transactions of our cooperative, Bookkeeping best practices, and Entrepreneurship new strategies and ideas,” she added.
