Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – The Cooperative Development Authority (CDA), led by Regional Director Alberto A. Sabarias, recently concluded a successful Compliance Review Seminar and Hands-on Training on the Submission of Mandatory Reports from February 25-28, 2025. Hosted by the Oriental Mindoro Field Office in collaboration with the Provincial Cooperative Development Office (PCDO), the MIMARO Island Federation of Cooperatives (MIFedCo), and Cooperative Development Officers from across Oriental Mindoro, this initiative marked a pivotal step in enhancing cooperative governance.
The seminar was strategically divided into two sessions: the first, held on February 25-26, 2025, at Tamaraw Hall, Capitol Complex, Camilmil, Calapan City, catered to cooperatives from the First District. The second session took place on February 27-28, 2025, at SB Conference Hall, Maligaya, Gloria, Oriental Mindoro, accommodating cooperatives from the Second District.

Distinguished speakers such as Mr. Cristian B. De Ade, Program Coordinator of Oriental Mindoro, Ms. Raquel C. Castañeda, Senior Cooperative Development Specialist (CDS) from the Supervision and Examination Section (SES), and Mr. Melvin A. Cabanes, CDS II, provided invaluable insights. They covered essential topics including pertinent laws, memorandum circulars, and regulatory requirements governing cooperative operations.

The seminar also featured a hands-on training session, equipping participants with practical skills necessary for the accurate and timely submission of mandatory reports as per CDA standards.
