
In line with the National Women’s Month Celebration, the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) MIMAROPA successfully conducted its culminating activity, “Uncovering Gender Assumptions, Juana Zumba, and Short Games,” on March 26, 2025. Spearheaded by the Gender and Development (GAD) Focals from the Cooperative Research and Information Section (CRITS) and Human Resource Unit (HR), the event provided a meaningful opportunity for employees to engage in gender awareness discussions, wellness activities, and interactive team-building games.
This initiative aimed to promote inclusivity, challenge gender biases, and foster employee well-being while reinforcing the importance of gender equality in the workplace.
The activity was designed to:
✅ Raise awareness and challenge common gender assumptions in society.
✅ Promote health and wellness through an engaging Zumba session.
✅ Strengthen teamwork through interactive short games and team activities.

A. Opening Program

The program started at 8:00 AM with an invocation led by Ms. Diana Aubrey G. Almazan, followed by welcoming remarks from Ms. Nelcy Dimatulac, GAD Focal. Participants from different units gathered to take part in the culminating activity, reinforcing the agency’s commitment to gender equality and employee engagement.
B. Session on “Uncovering Gender Assumptions”

At 8:30 AM, Ms. Eva Loraine R. Cataje, GAD Focal, facilitated an interactive discussion on gender assumptions—a crucial component of the celebration. The session tackled common stereotypes, workplace gender roles, and societal expectations, encouraging participants to reflect on their perspectives and biases. Employees actively participated in the discussion, sharing insights and experiences that highlighted the importance of gender inclusivity in the workplace and beyond.
C. Zumba Fitness Session

After a short health break, the Juana Zumba session kicked off at 9:45 AM. Led by instructors from the Admin Section, participants enthusiastically joined the energetic routine, promoting physical wellness and an active lifestyle. The session not only encouraged movement but also fostered camaraderie and teamwork among employees.
D. Closing Program and Awarding Ceremony
The event concluded by 12 Noon with a closing message led by the Acting Supervising CDS. Participants were recognized for their engagement and enthusiasm throughout the program. The Women’s Month Culminating Activity ended on a high note, leaving participants with a renewed commitment to gender equality, well-being, and teamwork.

The Women’s Month Culminating Activity successfully met its objectives, providing a platform for meaningful discussions, fitness, and team-building activities. Employees gained a deeper understanding of gender inclusivity while also benefiting from physical and social engagement.
