In line with the compliance of cooperative officers to undergo mandatory trainings and to gain in-depth understanding on cooperatives, the Cooperative Development Authority-Albay Contact Office together with the Albay Provincial Cooperative, Enterprise and Manpower Development Office (APCEMDO) initiated a one-day training on Fundamentals of Cooperative which was held last July 31, 2024 at Farmers Auditorium, Albay Farmers Bounty Village, Cabangan, Camalig, Albay. The said training was started by the preliminaries thru audio-visual presentation. Then, Ms. Amy B. Santiago, CDS II of APCEMDO acknowledged participants from the different cooperatives. Subsequently, Ms. Lucille L. Arcilla, Acting APCEMDO Head, graced the event with a welcome message. This activity was attended by 39 officers from seven (7) cooperatives in Albay composing of 17 males and 22 females.Ms. Regin M. Aycocho, CDS II of CDA-Albay served as the resource speaker during this event. The training begins with a pre-test and proceeded to discussion of history, philosophy, values, principles and difference of cooperative to other forms of organization. In addition to this, she tackled topics on cooperative laws and salient provisions of Cooperative Laws or the RA 9520 as well as Articles of Cooperation & By-laws of a cooperative. Questions from participants were also entertained and part of the assessment of learning was through a post test. For the closing remarks, Mr. Simeon M. Jacob Jr., Planning Officer II of APCEDO have extended his gratitude for the presence and active participation of cooperative officers. Overall, the success of this event will not be possible without the collaboration of CDA-Albay Contact Office together with the Provincial Government of Albay through Albay Provincial Cooperative, Enterprise and Manpower Development Office (APCEMDO) personnel and also with the help of two (2) personnel assigned in CDA-Albay from Government Internship Program (GIP) of DOLE Regional Office V.
