As part of creating a strong cooperative equipped with knowledge and skills ensuring compliance of mandatory reports, the Cooperative Development Authority – Albay Contact Office in partnership with the Provincial Government of Albay thru Albay Provincial Cooperative Enterprise Manpower Development Office (APCEMDO) spearheaded the Training Workshop on How to Fill-Out FIRB Form No. 3000AS: ATIR and ABR of Cooperatives. This was successfully conducted last March 20, 2024 at 2nd Floor, Migz Zubiri Hall, Albay Provincial Cooperative Building, Cabangan, Camalig, Albay. This aims to provide awareness to cooperatives in adherence with the Department of Finance and Department of Trade and Industry Joint Administrative Order (JAO) No. 001-2023, which took effect last April 15, 2023. There were 53 officers comprising 11 male and 42 females from 40 cooperatives in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd district of Albay. After the preliminaries, Ms. Regin M. Aycocho, CDS II acknowledged the participants and it was followed by a heartwarming welcome message given by Ms. Lucille L. Arcilla, Acting APCEMDO Head.
This activity was graced with the presence of CDA-Albay Area Supervisor and Sr.CDS /Chief of SES, Ms. Maricho T. Pobre who cheerfully discussed the Overview on FIRB and JAO No. 001-2023 including the Frequently Ask Questions (FAQs) and proper filing-out of Annual Tax Incentive Report (ATIR). Subsequently, Ms. Regin A. Aycocho, CDS II, discussed the Annual Benefits Report (ABR), its importance and demonstrated how to fill-out the ABR. She also assisted the cooperatives during the workshop and entertained questions from the participants. These activities have shown how significant it is to work hand in hand on making things possible through the collaboration and support of the Cooperative Development Authority and Provincial Government of Albay as well as the active participation & positivity of the cooperatives specially during the workshop. The said activity gave the participants a ray of light to have a clearer view on this law and how they will be able to comply with this on time. Lastly, participants were beaming with smiles and were very grateful for this initiative which helped them to easily understand how they can comply with the submission of ATIR and ABR and will ensure to submit on or before its deadline.
